Community service organisations play a vital role in supporting those most vulnerable in our community, creating meaningful change in the lives of children, young people, and families across Western Australia.

The Community Services Excellence Awards (CSEA) celebrate the unsung heroes of Western Australia and the organisations they represent. These organisations make a profound impact on countless lives, from local projects driven by passionate volunteers to broader initiatives across the State. The Awards provide an opportunity to recognise and honour their invaluable contributions.

The Awards are a longstanding and important collaboration between the Department of Communities, and the Western Australian Council of Social Service. This partnership between the State Government and the community services sector is based on commitment and dedication from both partners.

We are pleased to announce that in 2025, we will partner with the Council of Aboriginal Services Western Australia (CASWA), to deliver a new award category: Inspiring Partnership Between an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisation and a Community Service Organisation.

This award recognises valued partnerships between ACCOs and community service organisations in the delivery of culturally appropriate services that support positive outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

Finalists and winners will be recognised at a ceremony on Monday 12 May 2025, coinciding with the 2025 WACOSS Conference, which is the largest gathering of the community services sector in the state.
